SWEET&SOUR PORK UNCRUMBED
Ingredients provided:
• Marinated pork strips
• Sweet&sour sauce – leave out on the counter you don’t want it cold when you are ready to serve
• Rice (if selected)
• Vegetables (if selected)
Ingredients from own source:
• Oil for frying
• Salt and pepper
Equipment required:
• Drying rack with dripping tray
• Pot for cooking rice (if using)
• Cutting board and sharp knife and separate plates for vegetables (if using)
• Lined baking tray or fine meshed rack
• Frying pan or wok
• Spatula
• Serving platter
Instructions:
• Arrange the pork strips on the rack over the dripping tray and leave to dry a bit and come to room temperature.
• Cook rice (if using).
• Peel and slice vegetables in thin strips and tip each sort on its own plate (if using).
• Heat the oil in the wok or frying pan on high heat and fry the vegetables, stirring all the time, tipping onto the serving platter as they are done.
• Add a little more oil to the wok or pan and fry the pork strips. Add the cooked pork strips to the platter and cover with the sauce.
