BURGER BOWL
Ingredients provided:
• Ground beef
• Onion
• Garlic
• Lettuce
• Tomato
• Cheese
• Carrot
• Pickle
• BBQ sauce
• Mayo dressing
Ingredients from own source:
• Salt
• Pepper
• Oil for frying
Equipment required:
• Frying pan with lid
• Long handled fork
• Cutting board and sharp knife
• Grater
• Bowl for serving
Instructions:
• Finely slice the onion or grate. Peel and crush or grate the garlic.
• Heat some oil in the frying pan over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and fry 3 minutes. Add the meat, season with salt and pepper and stir about while breaking up with the long handled fork.
• Once the meat is loose and lightly browned, reduce heat to low, cover and allow to cook until done (71°C is safe) – from 15 – 30 minutes depending on how well done you like your meat.
• Remove from heat and keep aside.
• While the meat is cooking, peel and grate the carrot (or slice thinly) and slice the tomato.
• Grate the cheese.
• Break the lettuce into the serving bowl, add the carrot, cheese, tomato, pickles and meat.
• Serve with the sauces.
