CHICKEN PASTA SALAD
Ingredients provided:
• Pasta
• Chicken fillet
• Fruit and vegetables
• Vinaigrette
Ingredients from own source:
• Salt and pepper
• Oil
Equipment required:
• Cutting board and sharp knife
• Pot for cooking pasta
• Pan with lid for cooking chicken
• Bowl for serving
Instructions:
• Let chicken come to room temperature and season with salt and pepper.
• Pour the vinaigrette into the serving bowl. Keep aside.
• Heat some oil in the frying pan over medium heat and brown chicken all sides.
• Cover, reduce heat to low and let cook 20 minutes. Allow to cool.
• Heat water in the pot to boiling. Add a little salt and the pasta. Boil on high heat 12 minutes.
• Drain the pasta (keep some of the cooking water) and tip into the serving bowl with the vinaigrette. Stir through or shake the bowl to cover the pasta in the vinaigrette. Keep aside.
• Peel and cut the fruit and vegetables and add to the pasta.
• Cut the chicken and add to the pasta.
• Pour the reserved cooking water over the paste and stir to mix.
