PORK SAUSAGE ROLL
Ingredients provided:
• Pork sausage
• Pie dough – keep in the fridge
Ingredients from own source:
• Flour
Equipment required:
• Frying pan
• Foil or baking paper
• Oven or air fryer rack
Instructions:
• Heat the frying pan on medium heat and cook the sausage all sides. Allow to cool and then refrigerate. It should be the same temperature as the dough when you assemble for baking.
• Sprinkle your work surface with flour and roll out the dough 3 mm thick – try for a rectangle that wil fit the sausage.
• Place the sausage in the middle and roll the dough around it. Pinch off excess at the ends. Cut some slits in the top of the pie.
• Fold the foil or baking paper so that you have a double layer. Place the pie on the piece of foil or baking paper and then on the rack. Put the whole thing in the fridge.
• Set the oven or air fryer to 200°C.
• Once the oven or air fryer is ready, remove the rack with the pie from the fridge and put directly into the oven/air fryer. Bake 15 minutes or until golden brown.
